The Witcher: Season 2 Premiere - Henry Cavill Interview at Madrid's Red Carpet

Geralt of Rivia himself suited up to welcome Spanish fans to the second season of Netflix adventures, and we got the chance to ask him a couple of questions... and to see how kind he is when we were hit by a falling lamp.

"Hi Gamereactor friends, we are in Madrid for The Witcher Season 2's premiere We are on Netflix's red carpet as we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the man, Henry Geralt of Rivia, Cavill who is going to premiere the season here in Spain and hopefully answer a few questions for us. Fingers crossed! Mr. Cavill, cheers. This is for Gamereactor. So which would you say was the episode you had the most fun shooting and the one you're looking forward to seeing fans' reaction to?
Are you okay? Are you sure? Okay."

"It's difficult to pick any one particular episode that would be a favourite. I would say that any of the episodes I did work with Kim on Kim Bodnia as Vesemir We worked very very hard at bringing something that wasn't necessarily on the page, bringing the character's emotional connection from the books. We really wanted to bring that in.
And we worked very very hard at that and just making sure the character is three-dimensional."

"Telling by the first couple of episodes, am I right in saying that Season 2 will be more obscure and grander in scale?
It's certainly the production value has gone up and as I say the DOPs have really lit this in a fantastic way, the director of photography and also the production design. Andrew Laws is fantastic and he's really upped his game.
What video game would you like to see turned into a Netflix movie or series starring yourself?
That's a very good one. Well, that's a tricky one because you're tying both an IP and a company together which is a tricky thing to do."

"I certainly don't want to put myself in any corners with that but there are plenty of games out there.
I've actually just started playing Red Dead Redemption 2. I know I'm a bit late to that party but I started playing it and I'm really enjoying it.
So something like that I think would be fun to turn into a movie.
Thank you so much."

"Thank you very much."
