Vici Gaming are the Epicenter Major Dota 2 champions

They had a closely-fought contest with Team Liquid right at the end of the competition, and lifted the trophy in Moscow.

Dota 2 fans will no doubt know that the Epicenter Major event has just wrapped up in Moscow, and after some of the best teams fought it out it was Vici Gaming who emerged as champions, following an intense final battle with Team Liquid that saw them win by a margin of 3-2.

Both Liquid and Vici advanced top of their groups, and Vici then went on to defeat Gambit Esports 2-0 in the playoffs, before beating TNC Predator 2-1. Liquid then faced Vici and lost by the same margin, but after bouncing back from the losers bracket with a 2-0 victory against Virtus.Pro, they were ready for the rematch.

Things started off well for Liquid, but then Vici clawed two back to make it 2-1 in the best-of-five, and although Liquid made it level, Vici won the last round of the war to claim victory for themselves.

Did you expect Vici to win?
