Despite some major absences, Gamescom 2018 will still be very interesting, especially since Valve has now announced that they'll be present at the German event, even if they haven't revealed their exact plans yet. There's a good chance Gabe Newell's company will show Artifact, the collectible card game inspired by Dota 2 and expected to be launched this year, with some assuming they'll actually announce the launch date at the Cologne show.
At the same time we may also see how In the Valley of Gods is getting along, the new game by Campo Santo, which was recently acquired by Valve. The game, as you'll remember, was announced during the last edition of The Game Awards, and it's an adventure set in Ancient Egypt expected for a PC launch in 2019.
Gamescom will take place at the end of August, and since Gamereactor will be there in person, we'll bring you all the info straight from Cologne. What do you want to see from Valve?
Thanks, VG247.
