Paradox development and Paradox Interactive have announced a release date for the first major expansion to their grand space strategy game Stellaris, and fans can expect Utopia, as it's called, on April 6.

One of the main core improvements in Utopia is the introduction of Ascension perks. As you grow as a species and gain new traditions, you can now choose how to make your species evolve, choosing between a biological path, a psionic path, or a synthetic path, with various options within these broad categories.

Also included in the expansion are megastructures, including things like Dyson Spheres to improve culture, Habitat Stations to house more population, and Rights and Privileges, allowing you to set which of your species has certain rights and allowances.

More will also be added via free updates in the future. Is this Utopia expansion a paradise for Stellaris users?
