Could be something, could be nothing, but a couple of interesting Uncharted 4 tidbits have emerged from Gamescom this year. First up is the news that there may well be collectibles in the game. Not a huge shock, but the discussion around that subject has revealed something else potentially more substantial.
"Collectibles are maybe in the game," a Naughty Dog rep told us during a demonstration of the game during Gamescom. "We're pretty early in development. We are thinking about it."
For the sake of clarity we then mentioned the original plan to release the game this year, with it now set to arrive in 2016. We asked that if they were still in the early stages of development, was the feature list thus incomplete?
"Typically we pull things in and out and see if they fit while we develop a game. It's the same with Uncharted 4."
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is due out next year. If development is still in the early stages as suggested, perhaps we should expect it towards the end of 2016, rather than in the first half of the year as originally expected.
