While the real Champions League will continue this evening when the first leg of the first of the two semifinals games takes place, EA and UEFA has announced when we can look forward to the next stage of the UEFA eChampions League.

The eChampions League will be back as of May 11-12, when the group stages for the event are held. This will see 40 teams looking to land a spot in the knockout stage planned for May 18-19, all to earn one of eight spots in the finals at the end of the month.

The eChampions League Finals will be held at the end of May, in the form of a physical event held at the Magazine London venue on May 29. The event will feature a $280,000 prize pool, with the winner being crowned eChampions League victor for this season.

The Finals events will have a physical element with a live crowd, where attendees can watch the action in-person and partake in an array of activities that will be available. The Finals will also be streamed live on EA Sports FC's social channels.
