Ubisoft Montreal's Alex Hutchinson, who has worked as creative director on games like Far Cry 4 and Assassin's Creed III, has announced his departure from the company via Twitter, and has also said that he's founding Typhoon Studios alongside EA Montreal's Reid Schneider.
"So! I left Ubisoft after 7 years. Extremely proud of all we achieved on Far Cry and Assassins but very excited to build something new," he said, adding that "Myself, @rws360 [Schneider's Twitter handle] and some other wonderful people have founded a brand new company: Typhoon Studios," in another tweet. Hutchinson also said that news on what they're working on won't be coming for a while, since they need to get established, but did say that "we are hard at work imagining a brand new world to inflict on all of you, so stay tuned."
Hutchinson, according to his Twitter bio, will now be creative director at the studio, as well as obviously co-founder. What do you hope to see from this new studio?
