Ubisoft has unveiled the For Honor Hero Series, which is a new international tournament program in partnership with ESL that will start on July 8 across all platforms in Europe and the US.

Weekly competitions will take place as part of the Hero Series, and after this 16 of the top players will attend a live event on August 12 in Burbank, California, where they'll compete for $10,000 USD in prize money.

According to the press release the aim of the Hero Series is to take the game's competitive scene to a new level by inviting all players to join weekly 1v1 tournaments over four weeks, with registered players earning points based on rankings after each tournament. The top players will then be picked based on overall tournament standings.

As with all esports, it's not just about the competition but about the viewership as well, and you can watch the Hero Series either on Twitch or YouTube, and Ubisoft has also said that the Hero Series will carry on growing after the first competition based on feedback from both participants and the community.

"At ESL we are committed to growing the esports landscape and For Honor's competitive ecosystem has been something we've all been looking forward to," said Sean Charles, VP of Publisher and Developer Relations, ESL. "With the For Honor Hero Series and the addition of ranked mode, there is a lot in store for future For Honor players."

On top of all this the Hero Series will also be hosting a caster competition to find someone to join the analyst desk in Burbank for the finals, and an audition clip can be sent via this link.
