Two Tribes' last game Rive is coming to Switch

Wii U version abandoned in favour of Nintendo's new console.

Dutch studio Two Tribes was dismantled at the end of development of their last game Rive, but that doesn't mean their story is completely at an end as Rive has now been confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch. Originally it was heading to Wii U, but the team struggled with performance and ultimately the decision was made to move over to Switch.

"RIVE was bumped from Wii U to Nintendo Switch, where it'll be playable in ultra-fast and super-challenging 60 FPS glory", states Two Tribes in a press release.

The port is being developed together with Engine Software and there will be an exclusive Switch expansion, but details on that will have to wait for time being along with a release date.
