During a recent hands-off viewing of Tropico 5 (you'll be able to read our preview on Gamereactor UK tomorrow), we were able to ask about a possible Xbox One version of the game, after the game was announced as coming to PlayStation 4, but not Microsoft's new console.
"Essentially we're currently concentrating on the Xbox 360 version," was the response from the Kalypso spokesperson on hand, and when we asked if there were any plans further down the line, unsurprisingly we got the same response.
Following that answer, Tropico 5's producer Bisser Dyankov elaborated a little on the situation: "The Xbox 360 is something that we did [in Tropico 3 and Tropico 4] and it's easy for us. The PlayStation 4 is a new platform and it's a challenge. So we definitely would like to get that straightened out first before we consider moving it to another platform."
Tropico 5 and El Presidente are set to launch on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 sometime in 2014.
