March 7 was the date circled in Total Wars fans' calendars to mark the release of upcoming entry Three Kingdoms, but we hope you've circled that in pencil because a new press release has revealed that May 23 is the new launch date.

"We're lucky to be in a position to do the right thing for our games, and in this case, it means taking the time to get everything ready for you," said Rob Bartholomew, Studio Brand Director at Creative Assembly. "It's important that we give you a game that you can enjoy to the fullest, and we're excited for you to see what we have in store."

We've only just had Dong Zhuo revealed as a playable faction, but we'll have to put our soldiers at ease for a while until we can get into the game in full in May.

Are you happy to patiently wait for a better product?
