Titanfall 2 will be changing its server provider from Microsoft's Azure cloud, which the original game used, to Multiplay's global server network in a new partnership that was recently announced.

Respawn are hoping this change will offer players the world over a better online experience, as Microsoft's Azure severs were not available in some countries.

Multiplay's servers claim to offer minimal latency, thanks to their cloud-bursting tech and boast a 'global network of dedicated server provider's as well major Cloud providers such as Google Compute Platform, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.'

Lead programmer Jon Shiring spoke a bit about the game in a press release saying "The Titanfall 2 launch is going to be bigger and better than the last game and what's really important to me is that the game just works."

Discussing Respawn's new choice of server provider he also added this:

"We wanted to make sure we had an insane amount of scalability and reliability, so we partnered with Multiplay because they have a great deal of expertise in game server hosting and a very clever auto-scaling product that can abstract away different cloud environments that lets us focus on making games."

Titanfall 2 will release October 28 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Read our hands-on preview of the sci-fi shooter here.
