A couple of former Harmonix devs started a studio called Drool back in 2013 and ever since they've been working on Thumper - a rhythm game that is expected to release later this year. It's coming to PC and PS4, and it was just announced that it will support PlayStation VR.
"At first we weren't sure whether Thumper would be a good fit for VR. We've spent the past few years making Thumper the most intense two-dimensional experience possible. Wouldn't a VR version just be too intense? Well, we can confirm that not only is it intense, it's completely overwhelming!
We'll have more to say about Thumper on PS VR soon, but one thing is for sure: the entire game will be playable in both 2D and VR."
Drool have also released this trailer entitled "rhythm hell" that shows off what you can expect from one of the later levels in the game. Thumper will be present at GDC next week.
