Both Dishonored and Dishonored 2 have game mechanics that allow the player to fiddle around with the game world, and in Dishonored 2 Emily has a special ability called Doppelganger. As the name suggests, it allows her to create a copy of herself to distract enemies, and Tom Francis, developer of Gunpoint and the upcoming Heat Signature, took to Twitter to show how he stumbled upon a way to use this special move to cancel the fall damage in the game.
Francis tweeted the discovery, saying: "Oh my God, I just discovered I can survive a long fall by creating a doppelganger down there and dropkilling her."
This isn't the first time there have been ways to cancel out fall damage in games, though, as in Fallout 3 (and other Bethesda open world titles) you could save just before you hit the ground, and when the save reloaded after your brains were splattered all over the ground, you'd lightly drop to safety. Do you know any other tricks to avoiding fall damage?
