There will be no Resident Evil 3 remake at The Game Awards

Geoff Keighley claims "nothing about our show has leaked", which indicates Resident Evil 3 won't be there next week.

There have been a number of rumours recently pointing to Capcom remaking Resident Evil 3 following the success of Resident Evil 2 this year, especially since a Resident Evil 3 listing was spotted on PSN just recently, and many assumed it'd be shown at next week's Game Awards.

But this will not be the case, as The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley participated in an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, and when asked about those leaks, he said:

"There are no plans (never were) to do anything with Resident Evil 3 at the show. A lot of these "leaks" are completely wrong. Nothing about our show has leaked as of this writing."

Since he clearly says nothing has leaked, it likely means that we won't see anything from Warner Bros. Montreal's rumoured Batman game either at The Game Awards.

While that is sad news, it also means we can look forward to a whole lot of completely unknown announcements, without leaks spoiling the fun.

Are you disappointed?
