Michael Thommason's game collection, officially recognised as the 'World's Largest Video Game Collection' by the Guinness Book of World Records, is now being auctioned at Gamegavel (via MCV).

The collection is made up of 10,607 games verified by the Guinness Book, plus over 400 games Thommason acquired since then, making it a collection of over 11,000 games. Around a quarter of the collection is new and factory sealed and over 8,000 are boxed with manual. This includes complete or near complete collections for Dreamcast, Saturn, Sega CD, Jaguar, Lynx, Turbo-Grafx-16 Super CD and Virtual Boy. The collection also includes the actual Guinness Certificate and a lifetime subscription to Retro Magazine.

The current big stands at $9,000, in case you're interested in owning what's officially known as the largest video game collection on planet Earth.
