A while ago Thekla Inc. announced that a PS4 Pro patch was coming to their puzzle game The Witness and now it has finally arrived.
The patch has changed a few things, including the fact that, on HD displays, output is now at 1080p and 60 FPS with 4x MSAA, which is up from 900p and 2x MSAA, although there's no change to frame rate. On 4K displays there are two visual options. One is 1440p, 60 FPS with 2x MSAA rendering of game world, with UI and text at 4K, and the second is 4K, 30 FPS rendering of game world and UI, with 2x MSAA.
They said the second 4K option was added at the request of players, and that HDR support is also there for those who can use it. Have you had a chance to try it out on PS4 Pro yet?
