The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still getting optimised

But not at the cost of visual quality.

In a interview with Eternity, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's art producer, Michal Stec, revealed that the game will be undergoing a optimization process, to improve performance, but he assures we won't see a visual downgrade from the current version to the final one, as we saw in other games (yes Watch Dogs, we're looking at you).

"No. That's the answer. We are not downgrading it. We are optimizing the game but in a way that doesn't affect the visuals. So there is a lot of work for us, and this is also one of the reasons why we delayed the game. Because we still have to optimize it to get the best performance for you guys as possible," assured Michal Stec.

We already had the chance to play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and while we have a lot of positive things to say, including the visual quality of the game, we did noticed distracting screen tears on the console version, that need to be optimised. There's still plenty of time until the May 19th release.
