The Wild Eight gets a brand new gameplay trailer

The Wild Eight has captured our interest ever since we first heard about its brutal, unforgiving brand of survival, and now 8 Points has released a brand new gameplay trailer showing off how brutal this will be in "the coldest point in the Northern hemisphere."

"It does not forgive. It lets you learn from your mistake," the sombre narrator says over the top of the trailer. "A game where fun coexists with challenge, and puts your survival skills to the test. A great deal of attention was paid to the core mechanic of the game - your survival. There are two key factors to it. The first is to eat, or experience slow and unforgiving death. But if you feel skilled enough, you can try your hand at hunting."

"The second factor is your body temperature, providing yourself with enough warmth to survive in the harsh Alaskan environment. Different weather conditions may grant you different survival opportunities, like the perspective of a clear day, or the sudden danger of an unexpected blizzard."

You can see how all of this works in the trailer below, and although the Steam page says the game is due out this autumn, the more time progresses the less likely that seems. Are you ready to test your skills in the wild?
