Tomorrow we kick off a new month in the only way possible, with a gallery of new high-res gaming artwork to freshen up your desktop or mobile devices in our monthly WALLPAPER feature, and speaking on mobile, our resident iOS expert Lee West rounds up the greatest of the latest games that deserve a download from the App Store in DIGITAL FRONTIER on Wednesday.
Thursday kicks off CALL TO ARMS, the build up to Gamereactor's own international gaming league, as we roll out online matches over the coming months to find the best gamers to fight alongside Gamereactor UK in the upcoming online tourney between participating teams from other European branches.
The week ends with MUSIC TO GAME TO, where we ask staff and guests to detail their favourite pieces of game music, as well as collect together a listening list so you can psyche yourself to the weekend's gaming. There'll also be a Twitter-related compo sneaking in that day, so make sure to follow us @GamereactorUK.
The weekend rolls in two new features, one for each day. Saturday morning introduces the WEEKEND PLAYLIST where the team discuss what's on their game agenda for the weekend, as well as answer a random gaming question each week. Remising continues on Sunday with DEFINING MOMENT, a personal recount of a moment from our gaming's past.
Alongside this, we'll have GRTV gameplay videos and shows, as well as your daily dose of game news, previews and reviews.
RETAIL RELEASES THIS WEEK
The retail blitz starts early this week as Naughty Dog's Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception hits retail shelves on Wednesday, November 2, yet Drake's not the only returning gaming icon this week.
Leading the Friday batch of releases, Sonic Team finally gets to prove whether its got the Sonic formula right with Sonic Generations, and Activision gears Bond up for another mission in the Xbox 360 and PS3 port of Wii title GoldenEye 007: Reloaded.
There's a smattering of cult classics as bullet storm arcade shooter DonDonPachi Ressurection blasts onto Xbox 360, and BlazBlue Continnum Shift II punches onto PSP and 3DS.
