The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier

The Walking Dead - A New Frontier has 42 "starting points"

Which Clementine will you get?

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier is coming next week with new characters and a grown up Clementine. This is the third season of the game series, so it's connected to past events, but in this adventure every player follows their own path and develops main characters with their own behaviour. This makes for an interesting approach to this series.

Telltale Games has a few questions for you before starting the new game. First, you can start a new story "with a Clementine who has lost everyone from the previous Seasons and is left alone with AJ" or continue with your game save from Season One and/or Season Two.

Then, if you choose to continue your old story, you have the option to import your old files from the very same console or from Telltale Cloud Saves. If you lost your data, however, you will be able to "find" your Clementine within the 42 different "starting points". This is how the studio explains it on their website:

"Inside of Season Three, there is a "story generator" option where we'll ask you a series of questions that help us hone in on your Clementine. This will select one of 42 different "starting points", that include not just your ending but also the relationships you had with different characters and the style of player you are."

"This was a fascinating thing for us to build and involved us combing through mountains of Walking Dead data and using some fancy data science to figure this out. We'll be talking more about this, but it was organic and cool. I guess 42 really is the answer to life the universe and everything!"
