The film adaptation of Naughty Dog's successful game franchise Uncharted isn't going to be a direct adaptation of the games it's based on, says director Dan Trachtenberg (via Vg247). The reason for this is, according to Trachtenberg, the fact that a direct adaptation would be a lesser experience for the audience.

It makes sense that the Uncharted movie is forming its own path too, considering the movie tells the story of young Nathan Drake (portrayed by Spider-Man actor Tom Holland) and the life he led before becoming the sarcastic, badass adventurer we've been playing as for the past decade.
