We're still trying to wrap our heads around how exactly somebody's planning to make a movie out of the classic puzzle game Tetris, but there's even more mind-boggling news about the film coming out of the Cannes movie festilva.
According to Deadline, producer Larry Kasanoff is in Cannes talking up the film and drumming up interest with sales agents. And apparently he's told Deadline that he and investor Bruno Wu see the film as the first part of a trilogy.
Though they're targeting an international audience, the plan is to film the movie in China with a Chinese cast. Tetris wil be an ensemble movie, and is dubbed as a "scifi thriller".
We still have no clue how that's supposed to work.
