Mortal Kombat 11

The Raid's Joe Taslim playing Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat film

Another piece of the puzzle has been laid for the project, which is being produced by James Wan.

Mortal Kombat is no stranger to the world of films, but we now have confirmation of another actor who'll be starring in the newest adaptation of Netherrealm's fighting franchise, as Joe Taslim (The Raid) will be bringing Sub-Zero to life, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film is being made with James Wan as producer, with the help of Todd Garner. Larry Kasanoff, E. Bennett Walsh, Michael Clear, and Sean Robins will be executive producing, and Simon McQuoid will direct, and this crew will most likely make something very different to what we saw in the 1990s.

Taslim is a martial artist that appeared in The Raid, and considering how brutal and action-packed that film is, it should give you high hopes that he can deliver a convincing performance as Sub-Zero.

REVIEW. Written by Ricardo C. Esteves

"Mortal Kombat 11 could have been superb, but some of the design decisions Netherrealm has made are regrettable."
