We already knew that StarLadder would be working with PUBG Corp. to deliver us the PUBG Europe League (PEL), but now the developer has revealed that it'll start on March 21 for the best teams in Europe, Middle-East, and Africa to compete.

16 teams will face off against each other over three phases, and the top teams will compete in a number of PUBG Classic competitions with teams across the world too. These are called PUBG Classics, and the first will take place at the Faceit Global Summit at ExCeL London from April 16 to 21, having a prize pool of $400,000 USD and hosting teams who qualify through various competitions.

After Phase 3 the top teams will progress to the Global Championship, facing off against teams from all nine global regions for their slice of a $2 million prize pool.

"We are very excited with the start of the inaugural PEL season as it represents the pinnacle of PUBG esports in Europe and it is the natural continuation of our overall esports strategy," said Atila Yeşildağ, Esports Operations Manager at PUBG Amsterdam. "Going forward, we believe PEL will provide players a foundation on which to build their skills and strategies and fans a place to regularly engage with the best PUBG teams in Europe"
