It doesn't come as a surprise that The Pokémon Company will be making games for the NX, the next console from Nintendo, but when CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara also shared a brief description about the machine the interesting thing was that his descriptions matched many of rumours we've heard.
"We will make games for the NX", said Ishihara in an interview, which, given that Nintendo owns a 32% stake and The Pokémon Company has always worked for its platforms, was always guaranteed.
Ishihara's description of the console is what caught the attention of many though. "The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device". This is not far from the hybrid machine that some rumours hinted at in summer, being a powerful portable console with two detachable controllers and a docking station to connect to the TV.
Tsunekazu Ishihara also recognised that Pokémon Go's success was 100 times bigger than expected and promised again that player versus player combat and a trade system are coming in the future to the game.
Would you like the version of the NX that the rumours describe?
