Persona 5 Royal

The Persona franchise has reached 10 million units sold

This milestone came with the premiere announcement of an OVA called Persona 5 The Royal.

A piece of good news emerged from Atlus ahead of the release of Persona 5 Royal next spring (October for Japan) - the Persona franchise has hit a major sales milestone. As shared by Persona Channel, a Japanese official site of the series (via VG247), the RPG spin-off of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise has surpassed 10 million copies sold.

This information emerged with the announcement of Persona 5 The Royal, an OVA (original video animation) film that will be broadcast on AbemaTV starting August 30.

The Persona franchise consists of Revelations: Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 5, and all sorts of spin-offs and portable editions. On top of Persona 5 Royal, there will also be a Musou-like spin-off called Persona 5 Scramble for PlayStation 4 and Switch with no release date so far.
