The Overwatch League could make $720 million USD a year

There's a lot of potential there.

Blizzard's Overwatch League could bring in more than $100 million USD in annual base revenue, says a new report by investment management firm Morgan Stanley (as discovered by The Dot Esports). The esports league, which was announced last year, could even make $720 million a year in a confident market, in which case Overwatch would be on the same level as the WWE and 20 percent bigger than Major League Soccer, according to the same report.

The numbers depends on a lot of different factors, including Blizzard establishing its Major League Gaming subsidiary as the equivalent of an ESPN for esports, as well as the general increase and monetisation of esports. Do you think the league could hit this level of success?
