The Outer Worlds' story getting expanded through DLC

This will be arriving next year, as Obsidian revealed when talking about their numerous Game Award nominations.

The Outer Worlds was released by Obsidian in October to a positive critical reception, with many praising the RPG from the genre veterans, but it's not the end of the journey by any means, as the studio has provided a glimpse at future content via a thank you post following The Game Awards.

"The journey isn't over yet as we are excited to announce that we will be expanding the story through DLC next year! Details will be made available at a later date," the studio writes.

So, details are scarce, but considering it was nominated for Best Narrative, Best Performance - Ashly Burch, Best RPG, and Game of the Year at TGAs, it'll be interesting to see what else they come up with when making expansions.

If you have yet to play the game yourself, make sure to check out our review, as well as the livestream replay and launch trailer below.
