We are actually less than 10 days away from the release of the next major RPG from the creators of games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Fallout: New Vegas, and South Park: The Stick of Truth. We're of course talking about The Outer Worlds from Obsidian Entertainment, where we're set loose in the Halcyon colony.
If you're looking forward to enjoying the game with enhancements and 4K graphics, however, there is something you should know. Windows Central reached out to the publisher Private Division, where a spokesperson revealed that the game does offer "4K on Xbox One", but also said that there are "no enhancements for PS4 Pro".
If this has anything to do with the fact that Obsidian is Microsoft studio is unknown, but the game was started way before they bought Obsidian, and Private Division is the publisher rather than Microsoft.
It should be added that The Outer Worlds is included with Xbox Game Pass and can be downloaded for those who subscribe to that service on the release date October 25. The game is also being released for Nintendo Switch at a later point.
Is this disappointing news?
