The Order: 1886 devs hiring for new third-person shooter

If you're hoping for a sequel to The Order, then we have bad news, as this is a new IP in the early stages of development.

It's been a long time since we last heard from Ready at Dawn - the studio led by Didier Malenfant, Andrea Pessino, and Ru Weerasuriya - as aside from their work on PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886 and other minor games, we really don't know what they are working on.

That is until now, as a new tweet on their official Twitter account reveals that they're looking for staff to work on a third-person action shooter. Apparently it's a triple-A project and since they're looking for a lot of staff it's very likely that this project is at the very early stages of pre-production.

For those who expected a sequel to The Order: 1886, we've got bad news, as the studio pointed out that this is a completely new IP, as you can read over here. This isn't exactly a surprise though, since the exclusive for PlayStation 4 wasn't a major hit in terms of sales or critical response.

Who knows when Ready at Dawn will have something to tell us about this new mysterious project, including platforms, so all we can do now is wait. What would you like it to be?
