The Matrix might be getting the reboot treatment

Several film sites, like Deadline and Hollywood Reporter, are reporting an interest from Warner Bros. to resurrect and reboot the Matrix films. "Sources" have apparently revealed that Zak Penn will be writing the script, while Michael B. Jordan is being considered for the main role.

Being a reboot, it's not clear if anyone from the old cast will be available or invited to participate in the new film. As for the original creators, the Wachowski siblings, they're apparently not involved in this new project, although reports indicate that Warner Bros. would at least like to have their "blessing".
