The Long Dark gets Vigilant Flame survival update
Cooking system among the overhauled features.

Survivalists will be able to explore and hopefully survive The Long Dark's newly added Hushed River Valley region. There'll be no human-made settlements there so players will have to find more creative places to hide from the elements.
The so-called Vigilant Flame survival mode update also brings with it a new cooking system and "buffer memories", which should immerse you further in the experience as well as give you some additional backstory. The update includes a number of other additions and gameplay tweaks, so check out the update trailer more for details.
