The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD got a release month of October. During the E3 Nintendo Direct we got a gameplay demonstration that featured lots of sailing.
Nintendo are utilising shaders to improve the "visual expression" of the title that takes place primarily on the open seas, with Link exploring different islands across the world.
They're making some adjustments to the HD version of the game, though Iwata wouldn't share many details. One thing he did reveal was an update to the original's Tingle Tuner. In the Gamecube original players received the Tingle Tuner in order to link them to the Gameboy Advance. This feature is to be updated to make it compatible with Wii U - now messages can be stashed in bottles and thrown into the virtual sea only to wash up on other player's shores complete with text messages and screen shots.
