The latest Rocksteady game simply wasn't ready for E3

After Arkham it could be Superman's turn!

Numerous rumours predicted an announcement at E3 for the upcoming Rocksteady game, the studio best-known for the Batman series (Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight). Unfortunately for all concerned, there was no big on-stage E3 reveal, no trailer, not even a measly press released emerged with regards to the studio's next offering.

Instead, Sefton Hall, the studio's co-founder, posted a tweet that explained the studio's absence from the 2018 edition of E3. The reason is simple: the game isn't ready for public eyes.

"We know some of you were disappointed that we were not at E3 this year. The whole team has been reading your comments, and all of us here at Rocksteady really appreciate your passion for our next project. Knowing how much it means to you keeps us inspired and energized to deliver a game that you will be proud of. We'll share it with you as soon as it's ready."

Whatever it is that Rocksteady is working on remains shrouded in mystery and we're still no closer to knowing when we'll get to see more of it. Consider us intrigued.
