After waiting for what feels to be an eternity, last night brought us the official launch date for Naughty Dog's highly anticipated sequel to The Last of Us. Shown as the headline for PlayStation's State of Play livestream, The Last of Us: Part II trailer showed us a deeper look into the story behind the title, giving us a glimpse at an older Ellie and a more rugged Joel. After the conclusion of the stream, retail listing went live worldwide, with some claiming the game to be split over two discs.
First reported by Gamespot, the Best Buy listing states that The Last of Us Part: II's Special Edition will; "include full game(2-discs), 48-page mini art book, steelbook, avatar set and a dynamic theme." This particular piece of information suggests that The Last of Us Part II will be quite a hefty title, giving more adventure, emotional distraught and stunning environments for us to travel across at launch.
