The Last of Us movie stuck in development hell

Remember all the talks about a potential movie based on The Last of Us? If you were looking forward to the prospects of that, you'll have to be patient. Apparently the movie has become stuck in what Hollywood refers to as "development hell" and nothing is really happening with it.

Word about the film's trouble comes directly from The Last of Us creative director Neil Druckmann. Speaking to IGN, he relates the story of the total lack of progress on the film:

"I know I said in an interview a while back we had a table read, got the script to a good place and it kind of entered development hell like these things tend to do," he says. "There hasn't been any work done on it in over a year and a half."
