The Kojima vs Konami debacle continues

Who does Hideo Kojima work for? Nobody seems to know for sure. Yesterday The New Yorker magazine reported that Kojima has left the company and is waiting for the non-competition clause in his contract to expire this December.

However today Konami has denied the report. The Japanese company told Tokyo Sports (translated via Kotaku) that "Kojima and the development team are finished developing Metal Gear Solid V and are taking a long time off from work".

This is pretty interesting since the author of TNY article, Simon Parkin, later specifically contradicted the statement by offering up a picture from Kojima's farewell party for Konami.
