In Finland, Ilta-Sanomat, PlayStation, SJK eSports, Livegamers, and SEAMK are all coming together to organise an esports tournament called the IS Cup. Here, 16 of the best players from qualifiers are competing in FIFA 17 and NHL 17, with the chosen platform being PS4 (which is relatively unusual as most are on PC).
The winner gets 1,000 euros, the second place 500 euros, and those in third and fourth place will get a special package too. All finalists are also rewarded with a special PlayStation-themed package.
The IS Cup finals are held in the OmaSP Stadion in Seinäjoki on April 22, and if you're interested you can watch the games on site or remotely right here.
To participate you need to take part in an online tournament organised by Livegamers, although there's also an option for an "offline tournament" held in Rytmikorjaamo in Seinäjoki on April 7.
The rules of this tournament can be seen on the IS Esports website. Should more esports tournament include console players?
