The setting for the finals of the Forza Racing Championship (ForzaRC) Season 3: The Porsche Cup have just been announced, and they're going to take place between June 17-18 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
With over 100 competitors, its organisers are calling it the largest in-person esports racing event ever hosted. Partnerships between Forza devs Turn 10 and both Porsche and Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) - the latter being the organisation that runs Le Mans - will mean that the winner of the esports event will find themselves victorious in an entirely new esports class, and will stand next to the LMP and GT class winners on the podium. There's also a $100,000 prize pool up for grabs, if a podium place isn't enough incentive.
"It's the best racing simulator currently available on console."
The Turn 10 racing game Forza Motorsport 6 will be disappearing from the Xbox Store in September.
