The first set of matches for Valorant Champions 2022 has been announced

Riot Games has revealed further details about the event, including where the playoff bracket will be played.

We're getting ever closer to the end of the next Valorant Champions Tour season, as starting from August 31, the best teams and players around the world will be heading to Istanbul, Turkey to fight for the title of champion. With that event coming up imminently, Riot Games has revealed the first set of games for the tournament and also presented some venue details.

The first bracket shows who the 16 attending teams will face first, with the matches as such:

Group A:

  • Paper Rex vs. Edward Gaming

  • Leviatán vs. Team Liquid

Group B:

  • OpTic Gaming vs. Boom Esports

  • Zeta Division vs. Loud

Group C:

  • FPX vs. KRÜ Esports

  • XSET vs. Xerxia

Group D:

  • DRX vs. Furia Esports

  • Fnatic vs. 100 Thieves

As for what will happen following these games, you can find the schedule for the whole tournament below, which also reveals that the group stage will end and the playoffs will start on September 9, which is when a live audience will be welcomed into the VW Arena in the city to catch the games as they unfold.
