The film adaption of Rampage gets its first trailer

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for their live-action film adaption of Rampage, the popular 1986 arcade game from Bally Midway. The film features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the main character, a primatologist, who focuses on three genetically modified animals: a gorilla, a wolf, and an alligator. Like in the classic game, however, things go wrong, and the trailer shows the gigantic animals tearing up a city and keeping a military force at bay.

"As a punk kid I dropped tons of quarters in this arcade game while hangin' out in smokey pool halls, I had no business hangin' out in. Today, George is my best friend", writes Johnson on his Instagram.

Rampage will be released on April 20 next year. Can it do a good job at reproducing the appeal of the game?
