Amplitude Studios has revealed that fans of their Endless series of games have a lot to be happy about, as alongside brand new DLCs fans have a free weekend to enjoy Endless games on Steam, including Endless Space 2, Endless Legend, and Dungeon of the Endless.

The team has just launched Endless Legend's expansion Symbiosis and Endless Space 2's expansion Penumbra, and if you were wondering where the first Endless Space is in all this, you can sign up for Games2Gether.com and link your Steam account to get this for free to keep.

The free weekend isn't endless though, as it ends on January 28, and with Endless Space 2's Penumbra DLC you can test out the new community-designed espionage faction. Hacking and invisibility modules for ships help keep you out of the spotlight, and you can get Penumbra for £10.99 ($12.99 USD/ €12.99) if you want to keep it, plus a further 10% off right now.

When it comes to Endless Legend's Symbiosis expansion though, this is a result of a collaboration with NGD Studios and shows us new forms of life on the planet of Auriga. The Mykara faction are spore-like in nature, but you'll be seeing more than just these guys, as there are huge beasts called Urkans, free for all factions to either battle or utilise. This is available for the same price as Penumbra, again with 10% off at the moment.

REVIEW. Written by Matti Isotalo

"The game is a constant source of "war stories", cool-sounding anecdotes of great victories and grim defeats home and abroad."
