Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited will be free to play starting today and ending on November 21, so if you haven't tried it yet then this weekend may be your chance to give it a go and see if it's worth investing.

Zenimax's ambitious MMO got off to quite a rocky start, with fans feeling a little unimpressed with what the world of Tamriel had to offer. The game has since gone through many iterations, which ended in it being a non-subscription MMO. After adding numerous updates and DLC the game has greatly improved and it looks like there is no better time to find out how much it has changed than this weekend.

If you choose to delve into the world of Tamriel this weekend then rest assured that you will have access to the full game, but obviously that does not include DLC packs. Upon the creation of your account you will also get 500 crowns to spend in the in-game store, which may help to pay for a mount, as walking gets tedious very fast. Zenimax also wanted to reassure players that any characters you create, Crown Packs or Crown Store items you purchase, and progress you make during the free play weekend will carry over if you go on to purchase the game.

The Elder Scrolls Online's Free Play Weekend will run from November 16 at 10am PT/6pm GMT to Monday, November 21 at 10am PT/6pm GMT and will be available on PC/Mac and PS4. Will you be giving it a go in this window of opportunity?
