The Elder Scrolls: Legends, a free-to-play collectable card game from Bethesda, was given a new trailer at E3 this year when Global Vice President of PR and Marketing Pete Hines updated the world on its progress.
The game was said by Hines to have a "deep strategy experience" both in terms of multiplayer and single-player, the latter providing a campaign with a compelling story and great characters.
The following video then displayed the game's opening cinematic, narrated by a Moth Priest whose perspective the story revolves around. This cinematic follows a "forgotten hero" who will change the course of history and discover the secrets of the elder scrolls, his journey narrated by the Moth Priest.
Hines said that the game is shaped by the choices the player makes and these choices unlock the depth the game has to offer. Players can make decisions that change the cards in their deck and there is a considerable amount of variety and depth to gameplay across various modes, including Battle and Arena Modes against either AI or other players.
Public beta testing started in April and Hines was pleased with feedback received, announcing that Bethesda were opening it up to more people, providing they sign up via Bethesda's official website. He also announced that it will be coming to Mac, Android and iPhones later this year.
