Console players for Ubisoft's The Division are getting to test the upcoming patch 1.8 today, which will be available for all who participated in the 1.7 PTS on consoles, allowing players access to the same stuff as was launched on the PC on Friday.

Unlike the PC version, not everyone will have access to the PTS on consoles, though, it's important to note, as you have to be selected to take part, including a sign-up link as well.

You can check the full patch notes over here, but some of the biggest changes include an increasing of player turn speed as well as the fact that "deconstructing High End gear, High End weapons, Gear Set items, Classified Gear Sets, Exotic armor, and weapons now have a chance to reward D-Tech."

Is this a welcome patch?

"We're still early in 2016, but we've already made room for The Division in our game of the year list."
