Ubisoft has revealed some more details about the first episode of free content due to land in The Division 2, titled DC Outskirts: Expeditions, available for Year 1 Pass holders from July 23, while the rest will have to wait until July 30 to get stuck in.

As you might have guessed from the title, this takes us to new locations in a story that continues after the last boss at Tidal Basis, with two new main missions to investigate. Camp White Oak, firstly, sees you orchestrate an attack at the presidential compound as you try to capture President Andrew Ellis, while Manning National Zoo tasks you with eliminating Emeline Shaw after she hides out at the zoo.

Expeditions is its own experience though, and sees you enter Kenly College, trying to find survivors after a military convoy was lost in the area. There are three different wings to complete, which will be released on a week-by-week basis, with a treasure room available to those that complete it.

On top of all this we also have the exotic Diamondback Rifle and BTSU Datagloves, the Stoner LMG and Carbine 7 weapons, and two new classified assignments in Washington's Central Aquarium and NSA Site B13, which is exclusive to Year 1 Pass holders.

Updates are coming as well, including a new difficulty to make the Operation Dark Hours raid a bit easier, as well as crafting improvements allowing players to craft up to Gear Score 500 and share blueprints across characters, with crafting weapons now able to be recalibrated too.

Are you hyped to get stuck in with the new content?

REVIEW. Written by Eirik Hyldbakk Furu

"A couple of faults don't detract from the fact that The Division 2 is one of, if not the, best looter-shooters in years."
