The Division 2 on PC skips Steam

The upcoming shared-world tactical shooter will only be sold via Uplay and the new Epic Games Store.

Since the service was officially unveiled back in December, the Epic Store Games has been on a spree recruiting numerous companies, small and large, under its umbrella, literally tearing them from the hands of Valve's Steam. Among the latest "acquisitions" there's The Division 2, and its PC version will only be sold on Uplay (Ubisoft's PC platform) and the new Epic Games Store.

However, it doesn't seem that this is the only initiative that involves the two companies, since Epic and Ubisoft have announced that they are collaborating to be able to integrate key elements of the Uplay ecosystem on Epic Store in order to ensure social functionality between the two platforms.

In addition, those who pre-order their The Division 2's copy on Epic Store will receive access to the game's private beta.

The Division 2 is expected on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 15th and you can check out a trailer offering an overview of the features of the PC version below.

REVIEW. Written by Eirik Hyldbakk Furu

"A couple of faults don't detract from the fact that The Division 2 is one of, if not the, best looter-shooters in years."
