Ubisoft has revealed that December 10 marks the arrival of Title Update 6.1 for The Division 2, which is bringing a festive feeling to the game, seeing bad guys don Santa Hats. Oh, and you can take them down with a new snowball-firing weapon too, to spread the festive cheer even more aggressively.

If taking down these taunting tough guys isn't quite enough, you'll be pleased to hear that you get your own Santa Hat if you log in between December 10 and January 7, and there's even The Silent Night apparel event with a dark winter theme, featuring 35 new apparel items to collect. Players even get one free key if they log in during the event, with Year One Pass holders getting an extra three keys as a bonus.

Apparel Event caches can also be purchased with Premium Credits and sent as gifts to friends and clan members, if you're feeling particularly generous.

A beta version of the new Hardcore Mode is coming with the update as well, making death permanent in the campaign, meaning it's an extreme challenge for agents.

Will you spread the cheer in The Division 2?

REVIEW. Written by Eirik Hyldbakk Furu

"A couple of faults don't detract from the fact that The Division 2 is one of, if not the, best looter-shooters in years."
