The Coalition compensates fans for Gears 5 outages

Server issues have been plaguing the game since its early launch for Ultimate Edition and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users.

Officially, Gears 5 wasn't released until yesterday, but those who either bought the Ultimate Edition of the game or subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate got to start playing it last Thursday. That said, it hasn't been an entirely smooth ride.

Despite the fact that the game is excellent (check out our review), there have been some major bugs and server outages dampening the fun for everyone, and now The Coalition has posted an apology on Twitter:

"As a token of our appreciation for your patience and support during this weekend's Early Access, we're awarding 5 days of Boost (Faster progression) and 600 scrap (Craft Skills or Supply cards). Look out for it in the next 48 hours."

Is this the right time to head back in then?
